My approach blends the sciences of lifestyle and energy medicine techniques such as Healing Touch. Developed in the 1980's by a Navy nurse, Janet Mentgen, Healing Touch is a biofield modality similar to Reiki.

The Healing Touch Program has been peer-reviewed and is endorsed by the American Holistic Nurses Association and the Canadian Holistic Nurses Association. In addition, the Healing Touch Program is an accredited provider of continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. 

In 1996, Mentgen asked certified Healing Touch Practitioner and veterinary technician, Carol Komitor, to develop a complementary healing program for animals.
